Belonging to the A.V.Suvorov museum was stolen in 1994 from an exhibition in St. Petersburg and discovered at a Hermann Historica auction on 14 October 2003 in Munich. Negotiations resulted in the owner renouncing his rights, and in December 2006 the cap was handed over to the Federal Service to be returned to the museum
