Children Freeing a Bird
Unknown artist (circle of Alexei Venetsianov)
Mid-19th cent.
The painting belonged to the Russian Museum and disappeared during World War II from the Alupka Palace Museum where it was temporarily on display. It was discovered in October 2005 at an antique fair in the Metropole Antiquarian shop in Moscow and returned on 18 November 2005
